The Association is controlled by a voluntary management committee, which is elected by the members of the Association.
The Management Committee takes decisions on policy matters and has overall responsibility for the Association’s work and the implementation of the policies is delegated to the staff who are responsible for the day to day running of the Association. Anyone aged 16 or over can apply to become a member of the Association. Membership costs £1 and this allows you to vote at the Annual General Meeting.
By becoming a member you can help influence how the Association is run and be actively involved in making decisions that affect how the area is regenerated.
If you would like to become a member, please complete a Membership Application Form and return it to a member of our Corporate Services team, together with your £1. Association members aged 18 or over, may be eligible for election onto the Management Committee.
Please check the role outline and eligibility form and get in touch with a member of the Corporate Services team if you would like more information.
We understand that some people can sometimes feel a bit apprehensive about joining an already well-established group of people. So we have prepared a thorough induction programme that has been designed to help guide you through the process over a period of time.
This give you some time to get to know more about the Association and what your role will be as a Committee member. We also arrange training throughout the year that you can attend on your own or as part of a larger group.
The current members of our Management Committee are detailed below.
