Founded in 1974, Tollcross Housing Association is managed by a voluntary Management Committee, supported by our Chief Executive, Leadership Team, Senior Management Team, and by our wider staff team of over 40 individuals working in Housing Services, Maintenance, Finance and Corporate Services. Tenants and customers are at the heart of our business and great customer experience drives our priorities, and together, our staff provide a wide range of housing services to customers within our 2,313 houses and flats in local communities in Tollcross, Carmyle, Lilybank and Newbank.
Due to one of our Housing Officers retiring we are seeking to recruit a like-minded, energised, highly motivated professional to fill this challenging and rewarding role. It is a fantastic opportunity for someone who may already work within social housing to challenge their current experience and work as part of a high performing team or alternatively for someone working within a similar environment to join the social housing sector bringing with you a motivation and willingness to improve services to our tenants and customers.
We are a forward-looking organisation committed to continual improvement, therefore the candidate should be customer focused, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and want to make a difference to people’s lives. You will become a familiar face in our communities and be empowered to deliver “right first time” services for our customers. You should have experience of working with, and supporting, customers and be able to demonstrate experience of managing a challenging workload in a busy environment.
The successful candidate will also be required to operate in an ever changing environment therefore, a flexible approach is necessary. Working as part of the Housing Management Team, but liaising with other departments, the role requires a reliable individual with excellent communication skills and have an ability to adapt these skills in different situations.
